How it works for parents
Three quick setup steps, then two minutes each weekend. No setup on your end — just create an account, we’ll link your children, and you check in after weekend Mass.
Create your account
Sign up with Google or your email. There's nothing to configure — the same email you gave the parish is what we use to find your family.
We link your children
The admin matches your email to your family on the roster. Once linked, you'll see only your children — no other families.
Open the app on Saturday or Sunday
You'll see 'Weekly Mass check-in' with the date of this weekend's Sunday. If it's a weekday, you'll see 'Check-in opens this weekend' instead.
The weekend check-in step by step
Check-in opens Saturday morning and closes Sunday at midnight. If you miss the window, that weekend just doesn’t count — nothing else to do.
Tap 'Use my location'
Your phone will pop up a permission prompt from the browser (not the app). Tap Allow. You must have location services turned on for this to work.
We find your church nearby
We check our approved Seattle Archdiocese parish list first for an instant match. Anywhere else, we look up Catholic churches within about 300 meters of you (roughly 2 city blocks), expanding to 500 meters if none are found nearby. Only Catholic parishes appear — other places of worship are filtered out. If we can't find your church, just check the 'I confirm I'm at a Roman Catholic Mass' box — the admin will review it.
Pick who attended
All your children are pre-checked. Uncheck anyone who wasn't at Mass with you. If a child genuinely can't be at Mass this weekend, tap 'Can't make it?' under their name and mark it excused — that weekend drops out of their goal entirely.
Submit — and enjoy a little celebration
Tap 'Submit weekly check-in'. Little flames and doves rain down. Your progress bars update immediately. No signal in church? You'll see 'Check-in queued' — it sends on its own once your phone reconnects.
10-second Undo, just in case
Right after submit, a toast at the bottom of the screen has an 'Undo' button for 10 seconds. Tap it if you clicked by accident or meant to uncheck a child. After 10 seconds it's final for the weekend.
What if…
Your phone's location services may be off. Check Settings → Privacy → Location Services (iPhone) or your browser's site permissions.
Tap any other church in the list to select it. If your parish isn't listed, use the manual confirmation checkbox.
Check the 'I confirm I'm at a Roman Catholic Mass' box and submit. It'll be flagged for the admin to review — you're not blocked.
Just don't submit — that weekend simply doesn't count toward the 85% goal. There's no penalty beyond that.
Tap 'Can't make it?' under their name, then 'Mark as excused' — illness or health reasons, a new baby in the household, another serious reason, or a dispensation. The weekend is marked excused and drops out of their goal entirely: it doesn't help or hurt the percentage.
About the 85% goal
Each child has a progress bar that starts on your family’s first check-in. From that weekend onward, we count weekends attended vs. weekends passed. The goal is 85% — a small green check appears when a child hits it.
Excused weekends are left out of both numbers, so marking a weekend excused never lowers a child’s percentage.
