Your privacy

Mass Tracker exists to help families and parishes keep track of weekend Mass for faith formation. We collect only what that takes, and we never sell or share it for advertising.

Last updated October 2026.

What we collect

  • Your account: your name and email, from Google or email sign-in.
  • Your family: your children's names and grades, as your parish provides them.
  • Check-ins: the weekend, time, church name, and location of each check-in, plus any excused-absence reason you choose.
  • Reminders (optional): if you turn on weekend reminders, a notification code for your phone. No phone number is needed.

How location (GPS) is used

  • Your phone's location is read only at the moment you tap Submit, to confirm you're at or near a Catholic church.
  • We never track you in the background, between Masses, or when the app is closed.
  • The location is saved with that check-in so your parish faith formation staff can review it, for example when a check-in is flagged because no church was found nearby.
  • If there's no signal at church, the check-in and its location wait on your phone and send once you're back online.
  • You can say no to location. The check-in can still be recorded and reviewed by your parish.

Location is erased after 12 months

Exact GPS coordinates are automatically erased from every check-in once it is 12 months old. The attendance itself and the church name stay, so your children's progress and sacrament-preparation records are not affected.

Who can see your information

  • You and any other parent linked to your family.
  • Faith formation staff at your own parish. Staff at other parishes cannot see your family.
  • No advertisers, data brokers, or outside companies. We do not sell your information.

Your choices

  • Turn reminders or location permission off at any time on your phone.
  • Delete your account from your dashboard. This removes your sign-in and personal account details.
  • Ask your parish coordinator to correct or remove your family's records.
